Carnation likes well-drained soil and sunny to semi-shaded locations. Grown by seedlings or direct sowing. For seedlings, sow the seeds from March to April or directly outside in the month of May. Spread the seeds evenly and cover with a thin layer of soil. Press lightly to contact. Keep the soil moist and the seeds will germinate in about 7-14 days. Remove wilted flowers to encourage new blooms.
Winter-resistant for the climate in Bulgaria. Carnations are a fragrant plant that can be grown around garden paths or in pots on the balcony.
