It can also be used for insulation of basements, plasters, aerated concrete, galvanized metal bases, wood, bitumen coatings, terraces, floors, walls, sills, window visors and more. The main qualities and advantages of liquid rubber are:
- excellent resistance to weathering,
- forms a hydrophobic highly elastic film,
- easy to apply,
- does not contain organic solvents,
- meets Bulgarian and European standards, made in accordance with the standards of BDS EN 14891.
It is characterized by excellent temperature resistance, which is in the wide range from -30 ° C to + 80 ° C. The consumption rate of the waterproofing solution is 1.5 - 2.0 kg / sq.m. for horizontal surfaces and 0.75 - 1.0 kg./sq.m. for vertical. These quantitative values are typical for Aquastop 4, when only one layer of liquid rubber is used. The recommended bases that interact well with the waterproofing product are:
- cement, lime-cement and lime-sand plasters,
- concrete, aerated concrete.
Aquastop 4 should be avoided on plastic, metal and glass surfaces. The liquid rubber can be applied with a roller or brush. The operating temperature for the installation of the hydrosiolation is in the range from + 5 ° C to + 35 ° C. Mixing with other similar products is not desirable. Dilution of Aquastop 4 with water is in a ratio of 2: 1. In order to obtain the desired effect of insulating the various substrates, they must be well cleaned and dusted. The presence of greasy stains, release agents and other contaminants that will adversely affect the performance of Aquastop 4 is not allowed.
