Description
The product is made of extruded polyethylene foam with closed cells and is used to form the correct depth of joints, which are filled with elastomeric sealing materials subjected to movement (expansion joints, angle welds, separating layers and cracks). The non-stick property of the polyethylene prevents the elastomeric sealing material from sticking to the underside of the joint, so that the sealing material above the cord can expand and contract freely.
Mapefoam is used with a diameter slightly larger than the average width of the joint. It is pressed to a sufficient depth in the joint.
