Slaked lime, also called calcium dihydroxide, is used in construction for interior and exterior painting of walls and ceilings, for plastering, as well as for the preparation of high-quality lime solutions. Lime plasters are breathable, absorb water similar to gypsum plasters, regulate the humidity in the room.
Apart from construction, slaked lime is also used in many areas of the farm - liming of acid soils, for the preparation of bleaching lime, which is used for disinfection.
