Two-component waterproofing Top Seal-107 25 kg SIKA

Sika Top Seal 107 is a two-component, ready-to-use solution with a low modulus of elasticity based on cement modified with special synthetic polymers. It can be reinforced with an alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh when waterproofing foundations subjected to bending stresses and when protecting concrete. Waterproofing solution Sika Top Seal 107 is suitable for internal and external application.

The two-component waterproofing Sika Top Seal 107 is used for:

• External and internal waterproofing and moisture protection on concrete, cement plasters and masonry
• Waterproofing and protection of hydraulic structures: pools, reservoirs, swimming pools, concrete pipelines, bridges and canals
• Protection of concrete surfaces against the effects of anti-icing salts and freezing-thawing processes
• Hard waterproofing coating on basement walls in new constructions or renovations
• Filling pores and cavities
• Waterproofing of foundations and basements (which are not subject to hydrostatic pressure)
• Sealing fine cracks (without movement in them) in concrete structures
• Internal waterproofing of reinforced concrete walls and floors in basement rooms, as protection against moisture infiltration
• Waterproofing of terraces, balconies and any surface exposed to atmospheric influences
• Leveling composition on concrete

Preparation of the base and method of laying:

• The base must be solid, cleaned of dust, dirt, loose particles, surface contamination such as oil, grease, cement milk and others. Cleaning can be water jetting or sandblasting, mechanical or manual roughening.
• Non-shock/vibration cleaning methods are recommended
• Damaged, delaminated or weak concrete must be repaired using a suitable material
• Wet the surface to saturation. The wetted surface should acquire a dark matte appearance without shining, and there should be no water on the surface.
• Apply the first layer with a notched trowel (3 x 3 mm) on a flat base. Leave the first coat rough for better adhesion of the second coat.
• After the first coat has cured, apply a second coat of SikaTop Seal107 with a smooth trowel across the first coat. SikaTop Seal 107 can also be sprayed with a pump suitable for fine mortar.
• When used as a protective coating on hard substrates, e.g. reinforced concrete, SikaTop Seal 107 can be applied without reinforcing with fiberglass mesh
• Ceramic tiles and glass mosaic tiles can be laid over SikaTop Seal 107 using a suitable cementitious tile adhesive
• The maximum recommended thickness of each layer is 2 mm
• For concrete waterproofing and protection, the correct application thickness is at least 4 mm applied in 2 layers
